ClaimForce Recognized by U.S. Department of Commerce - Technology

CHICAGO, IL | JULY 18, 2007 – ClaimForce, Inc. announced today receiving two distinguished honors including the Innovate Illinois award and the Recognition of Excellence in Innovation Certificate from the U.S. Department of Commerce Technology Administration.  Both honors are based on technology innovation and economic growth potential.

“These honors validate the commitment and pioneering work of the ClaimForce team,” commented Dennis O’Mahoney, Founder and CEO of ClaimForce.  “Our desire and effort to make a difference in the insurance claims industry is not only noted by those who use our products, but when others outside our industry note achievement in our business.”

The Innovate Illinois Program was created in partnership with the Illinois Entrepreneurship Network (IEN) to recognize innovative, high-growth small businesses throughout the state and help them advance their efforts to expand and create more jobs.  Thirteen companies including ClaimForce were selected from over 100 applications statewide.

The U.S. Department of Commerce Technology Administration Recognition of Excellence in Innovation Certificate is presented by the Under Secretary of Commerce for Technology to recognize local and regional innovators throughout the United States.  It is a one-time only award for use of a new manufacturing technique and for the introduction of new products into the market during the past 12 months.  The ClaimForce executive management team including Dennis O’Mahoney, Stephen Applebaum, David Eisman, and Mark Burnam were presented the Certificate by Robert Cresanti, Under Secretary of Commerce for Technology on July 16, 2007 at the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce.

“ClaimForce has demonstrated that a relatively small company can have a substantial impact on a major industry, achieving growth of over 500% in the last three years. This type of achievement can accelerate the adoption of innovative technology in an industry such as the Property and Casualty insurance to benefit not only these companies and their policyholders, but also increase productivity and foster economic growth. Thank you to ClaimForce for being a champion for the innovative use of information technology. With companies such as these, IT has a bright future in this country,” noted Robert Cresanti, Under Secretary of Commerce for Technology.

The Innovate Illinois award allows ClaimForce to participate in a six month program including extensive resources and expertise to help their business continue to thrive.  “We see these honors as a milestone of achievement along the road to building a successful company that not only provides solutions to the insurance claims industry, but opportunities to future employees."
